Scottish Discus Association: Rules

To become and remain a member of this forum, you must ensure that your profile is complete and up to date at all times. Names and e-mails are subject to verification.



Note: Private information is not given out or issued to any members or 3rd parties; however they are part of the terms and conditions and therefore they must be completed.

Please ensure that you update your account as and when required. If an admin e-mail is 'bounced', your account will be suspended until your details are corrected – please contact The Admin Team if need help when this occurs, and they will correct it for you.

The Scottish Discus Association Forum was started, for discussions about the Discus fish and other aquarium fish & related subjects. Other discussed topics often become heated, primarily due to passions, personal beliefs and experiences; therefore, please remember:

• No Sport's related topics as these can get out of hand.

• Please refrain from using all CAPITALS in your posts- this is classed as shouting and not polite!!

• Never state your opinions as fact - doing this will get you into trouble with other members who disagree. A lot of unnecessary bad feeling can be generated by a member stating an opinion as fact.

• If you feel the need to criticise a subject, do so, and criticise – but give reasonable explanation. Then leave it at that, you have aired your views.

• Anger is not tolerated. Comments should always be factual, never use anger in your posts as they will be deleted. If you have a problem with something that a member has said then pm them direct- do not start a war on the forum for all to read.

• Sending abusive private message or e-mails using the Forum is not allowed. If you receive one from a member please do not hesitate to forward this to Admin me so that it can be dealt with accordingly.

• Stirctly No text speak, means not typing as a txt msg.

• No exsternal links to Ebay!! If you do link to this site your post will be deleated.

• Commercial Advertisements are NOT allowed on the forum. There are 2 exceptions to this rule:

1. Sponsors may place adverts or information about their goods in the sponsors section.
2. Non-sponsors may place adverts in the For Sale section.

• Please refrain for using commercial display names as these will be changed for you.

• Any member found to be listing any explicit pictures or materials of a sexual type will be banned

• Bannage!
  We reserve the right to remove any member who violates our community guidelines. Warning will be provided in most cases, however those who are deemed a threat to the community will be banned immediately.
  
  Violation of any of these rules will result in consequences determined on a case-by-case basis.
